"Ontario Steam Heritage Museum"

Located in Puslinch Ontario and owned by club president Wayne Fischer lies the "Ontario Steam Heritage Musem". Although open only by appointment groups and clubs can call 519-740-7185 to arrange viewing.

The museum is dedicated to the restoration and preservation of "Steam Traction Engines" and contains some of the best restored and operating engines in Ontario and perhaps North America. Restoration projects are on going with current engines such as a George White and Case portable getting new welded boilers and a Double Cylinder Garr Scott being disassembled for fire box replacement. On the waiting list are such engines as another 20Hp Sawyer Massey, A Compound Sawyer Massey, a compound Port Huron, several 20 HP John Goodisons and even a narrow guage 0-4-0 Vulcan Locomotive complete with narrow and standard guage track currently entering in and out of work shops.

Although housing many traction engines the stationary part of the collection housed in the Stationary building is also significant. Permanent installations include three stationarys, the biggest at 600 hp complete with Allis Chalmers Generators. A dozen or more operative and several others waiting placement.

A number of the engines are brought to Steam-Era each year and are an integral part of the steam engine display. Equipment also goes to other shows such as the Puslinch Threshers, Niagara Power, Blyth steam Show along with other local parades such as the Puslinch Santa Claus Parade each year.

The Museum is also hosts the Ontario Steam And Antique Preservers annual picnic and opens all the doors to the magnificent displays. Not to mention a huge excuse for a steam up with rides an displays operating for all to view.
